Blackwater is one of BC’s newest producing gold-silver mines in central British Columbia. The talks cover what Blackwater is, why it matters, and which features help geologists recognize Blackwater-type Au-Ag systems.

About Our Speaker: Dave Lefebure, P.Geo., is a veteran BC geoscientist and former Chief Geologist of British Columbia from 2002 to 2011. He helped lead the BC Mineral Deposit Profiles, serves as an Adjunct at UVic, and advises industry. He will connect Blackwater features to practical tools for finding Blackwater-type systems.

Room ECS 104, Engineering Computer Science Building, University of Victoria. Closest pay parking is Lot 1 off Ring Road. Enter from Ring Road side. UVIC website indicates $5 max for evening.
